Seriously, have you noticed people smell differently even if they wear the same cologne? I wonder…
Myrtle’s crappy recap of the year
Two months left for our sophomore lives and I can’t help but feel that I have to blog about everything that has passed this school year.
Enrollment-
When I was a freshman, I wanted to be in Adelfa for the following reasons: It was the first section alphabetically and it was the room nearest the dorm. But I wasn’t Adelfa; I was Champaca. Not bad, it was still part of the first four and I had a handful of classmates I already got along with. Not bad at all.
Humanities Week-
A happy humanities week. The most memorable activity was probably the katutubong sayaw where we praticed our pants off (disclaimer: no pants actually came off). There was the speech contest, the zoe cellphone thing, and the fact that we came in fourth place in the contest but it was still a great week thanks to the support of friends and the guidance (cough, cough!).

Mala-Bisperas ng Pasko -
Yeah! Paskonsert, Paskorus and other christmas related activites including the awesome recollection. It was unaturally humid during those times and I was wondering when the cold would get here. Sadly, the cold only stayed for a short while during January. Paskorus was another happy event and I didn’t really feel the Paskonsert but it was fun all the same.
The fun-est event was the Reco particularly the maze thing-y which stayed pitched in the field for another two days after the said event.
Champa Christmas party was a blast and my throat was sore for the next two days from all the karaoke. Jethro’s mom makes great cookies and Carlos has the nicest parents.
Fair -
Yeah, inflatables!!! Those fun two days of fair were worth staying in school for. Champaca manned the games booth and the upper years were very nice and cooperative. And no, I didn’t buy a fair shirt.
YMSAT Week –
A very tiring and stressful week but rewarding all the same. Bio advocacies were more than a handful on all the sophomores. I still remember the good old days when I was a freshman and fully enjoyed the kite-flying and star-gazing.
INTRAMS-
Intrams is more enjoyable this year than last year partly because all Emerald did last year was practice for the “Sound of Science” concert last year so it didn’t feel like much of a sports event.
All in all it has been a life-changing year. This school year I experienced my first failing card grade, my first REAL AND HONEST spin the bottle, my first continuous Bible study with different religious sects, my first speaking contest loss, my first time to try a drug other than diethelamine (don’t take this literally, people), my first cold war, and my first infatuation (on the Nica scale).
Champaca has been a wonderful section even if it’s not first alphabetically. I don’t think I would have survived one day in Adelfa anyways.
